I was never one for Snoopy. I loved "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "It's a Charlie Brown Christmas" growing up, but never really cottoned to Snoopy.

Last month, Apple released, in beta, a Snoopy watch face for the Apple Watch. It's animated scenes of Snoopy and Woodstock revolving around the clock hands. I didn't think much of it, but I installed it to try it out. That's what betas are for, right?

A thing in tech hasn't brought me as much joy as the Snoopy watch face as since my first iPhone, I think. It's incredible how alive the face is. He howls at night, he slides down the hour hand at the top of the hour. Woodstock and friends gather on the hour hand when it's on either the 3 or 9. When the watch is in sort of sleep mode, Snoopy is asleep on his rooftop. It rains on the watch face when it's raining, and Snoopy uses his ear to protect Woodstock from the rain. Snoopy will kick a ball or swing a racket when I've been active. During the work hours, he will straighten up his desk and wear a bowtie, or he'll arrive to school ready to learn. It's a watch face that has provided me so much joy and delight and wonder, I'm tearing up writing about it. It's been a tough time lately, so, like you say: the little things LOL. Thank you for continuing your weekly joy updates.
