I love that card playing is listed - I used to play cards with my family regularly (is it a Rhode Islander thing?) but don’t do much any more and it is missed. (I taught my son cribbage I’ve Christmas break). I recently started watching somebody somewhere on Max and there was a great scene about the lead character trying to understand what “do what makes you happy” means when she didn’t know / couldn’t accept the answers. I’m really enjoying the show and your post reminded me of it so if you’re looking for a light series to try out you could do worse.

I've been so inspired by your writing, your week of Joy posts, your posts about music(just read the Grateful Dead one), your openness and honesty. I really enjoyed this post. I love this sentiment! Also I usually listen to this song when the new year hits at midnight but this year I changed my mind and have decided to go with Steely Dan's "Time Out Of Mind" as my New Year's song. But I am listening to it now. Happy New Year's!
