Wow! What an intense period to have gone through. I think it's been almost 10 years since I started following you on Twitter and reading your essays. At this point, I thought I knew a lot about you but the revelations in today's writing had me hanging onto every single word. Your resilience and strength are amazing. I hope you realize that.

Looking forward to the music/record blog!

For years I've been toying with the idea of starting a single serving site to post a photo from every concert I go to. A Twitter account or Instagram would be a good home for this project, but those platforms are dead to me. I honestly don't think anyone would see what I post, and I'd put way too much effort into something that would get 10 views a year.

Wow Michele - I was a reader/follower of A Small Victory back in the early days, had no idea that was you. So cool to have found you and your voice again. Still smile when I think of “Describe a song in seven words.” 😄

Wow, this made me smile! We used to have such fun with that stuff, and maybe I'll resurrect the 7 words thing on twitter!

As a peer “child of 1962” I find so many of your posts relatable, albeit I share them form a Chicagoan’s view Looking forward to many more years of reading you, and when my Blackhawks play your Islanders I’ll smile a bit.

Hi Michele

- I was a reader of your early blogging (and a blogger myself, handcrafted, back in the day) in the early 2000s. For some reason I was thinking of you today, and stumbled across this.

I remember being disturbed and to be honest, disappointed by your warblogging phase and, as you accurately point out, quietly distanced myself. It was, as you accurately say, a disturbing and troubled time, though in many ways a harbinger of what was to come.

It was disappointing because I always knew you were a nice, smart person and it was really shocking to see you being drawn into this hateful cult.

But - I am very glad you found your way back to yourself, and I never held anything against you personally. I'm happy things have worked out and that you had the insight and fortitude to turn things around.

Best wishes,

Steven Green (formerly plep)
