The irony is, the older we get the more we understand life, and then we’re gone. It was Claire Weekes who wrote when we’re old and creaky and ill we’re usually ready for “what’s next”. I’m 68 and can play golf, enjoy family. Dick Clarke wrote “it’s not that we can’t laugh again, it’s just we’ll never be you again”. Human consciousness is a gift. It’s okay to think about dying.
