This comment is just gonna be a bunch of me, me, me, and I'm sorry but it's one of those days. Anyways, I waited one year before jumping on Blackstar for the same reason and it had the same effect. Glad I'm not alone.

My #1 listened in 2024 according to last.fm is Perennial, to whom I've actually awarded my album of the year. They make me smile, take me back to simpler times where everything tasted better and was in general more fun. There's a lot of bias related to old Ollie lore I'm not gonna bother you with right now.

Haven't heard many Christmas music, just the Low album and the new Dean & Britta + Sonic Boom which I didn't know upon 1st listen was a Xmas album and had a small disappointed sigh by mid-1st track only to be won over just one track later and buying the thing immediately after listening once (which I never do, I only buy on Fridays to check if interest remains and filter the memorable good from the recency bias good). Will perhaps put more seasonal stuff on rotation.

Anyways, sad to have to wait one more week for the site, but at least it's still on Tuesday.

I love Perennial. That album is excellent.

idk about Young Americans, but the word is that he did so much coke while turning out Station to Station that he literally didn't remember anything about the process. At all. I think that's pretty amazing, that we was able to turn out such a great album while completely wasted....don't try this at home, kids.

I listen to a lot of music, and it's always interesting to see someone with more listening time than me.

But you almost doubled my YEAR total in a little over 5 months! That's awesome.
