I consider myself and Apocalyoptimist - I acknowledge the world is blowing up but I think it’ll be alright in the end.

It’s been a great year for self reflection, restructuring of what’s truly important, and adjusting one’s goals and dreams. There is renewal in the chaos and I find that comforting.

Hopes, blessings, and peace to you and your family in the new year!

I love the word Apocalyoptimist! You always have such a great view of the world and I admire that. Happy new year!

I'm hoping things will start opening back up in late summer or early fall next year but I'm mentally prepared for things not to be fully back to normal until the end of next year. My daughter is supposed to start her freshman year of college after taking a gap year this year because of covid and I really hope she gets to have a normal experience. I've adjusted to the "new normal" but I still have moments of existential dread. So far our family has been lucky that most of us haven't had covid though my niece did have it but it was a mild case. We just have to be patient and keep wearing masks and social distancing but it's really hard. I haven't seen my mom for nearly a year now other than on zoom (she doesn't live close to me).

I'm hoping for late summer. And even if I don't take advantage of things being open right away, I will still appreciate the rest of the world getting back to some kind of normalcy. Happy new year to you.
