We saw Deadpool and Wolverine for a second time this week. We also saw a friend's band play at a bar here in Austin. It was a lot of fun and I like when Ali comes to shows with me.
I went to the best concert of my life in which my favorite band played the album that made me fall in love with them, from track 1 to the end with the backing of a symphony. Oh and it was at Red Rocks ❤️. I also had the pleasure of having a friend visit for the weekend, one of my husband’s college friends who we hadn’t seen since 2018, and it felt great to spend time with her. This last bit seems like a strange thing to be joyful about, but I learned that I may have a totally-no-big-deal cyst in my knee, which means I neither have a blood clot nor am I imagining the discomfort I was feeling! The MA and NP were really affirming and understanding of my worry that it was a clot, considering I had a clot episode before. Yay kind medical providers!
I saw someone talking about Guster at Red Rocks and was wondering if you went! And yay for no clot! And finding out that something bothering us is manageable is a great feeling.
An easy one for me so I’ll go first. I’m on vacation in Michigan with my family. We just spent a few days near the beach and are packing up now to go further north. The weather was perfect for the beach days and a different kind of perfect this morning: a thunderstorm rolled in off Lake Michigan while we cleaned up before packing to leave. Going on vacation with older kids (20, 17, 13) is much different than the young ones. When they are young you, the parent, are “making memories” but mostly for yourself. Now they are making their memories-the hilarious little burns they get on their parents, the rare Pokémon I walked a mile to help my eldest catch, the inside jokes between them that they will remember long after the reason for the joke has faded.

I booked a little vacation for myself in October! So now I have that to look forward to! 😁
Fun! It's so nice to have something good to put on the calendar

that sounds absolutely lovely!
Also: when all is said and done they are probably going to remember this as the trip where they got addicted to Murder She Wrote.
